Brilliant location with s bahn and u bahn right across the road, getting you anywhere in the city

On payment of a non-refundable amount, received an email of an amount required as a deposit from the Hotel. I have never had to pay a deposit when booking through hotels.com, needless to say reception had never heard of hotels.com and proceeded to tell me that she doesnt know these small sites. After calling her manager they agreed to accept no deposit. She no longer addressed me, spoke only to my hubby which i thought quite ruse. We then were given a room on the top floor (durung the heat wave), with ceiling windows and five single beds, as well as three hefty keys to be used to enter the hotel via a back door after 10pm at night as hotel gets locked. Not my idea of a hotel and left immediately. Very disappointed and would definately not recommend.

Really lovely staff for check-in. We did not realise the reception is fully shut until 3pm, so we ended up sat outside but that wasn’t at fault of the hotel, just something to be aware of! There is a convenience store around the corner and is very close to the metro station. We found the location good and also affordable. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, slept well. Would definitely stay again if back in Berlin!

Hotel was great and the environment was okay. Not sage and not dangerous at all! Train Station on the other side. I would always come back!

Good value stay at Hotel Nova Sept. 2016. "S" & "U" Bahn stations very close by.

This hotel, in the middle of Berlin, has been under new managment since last November. It is not an accessible hotel. There are half a flight of stairs between the elevator (lift) and the rooms. There were a few stains on the rug in the room, but the bathroom and the rest of the room were very clean and were kept that way by a very friendly cleaner. The matresses on the beds were firm and the blankets were just the right thickness for us (middle of May). At the time of year that we stayed, there was no need to open the windows at night. If one were to do so, it would be quite loud-Lichtenberg never sleeps! The breakfast was a buffett and offered everything that one could dream of in a breakfast. There were hot and cold dishes, vegetables, fruit and even cake and cookies on offer! The hotel is directly across the street from the train station, where there is also a McDonald's for those who don't want to pay the 9Euros for breakfast. However, the breakfast was just as good as any we have ever had in a 4* hotel There is also a nice bar for a drink after seeing the sights of Berlin. The staff, and especially the new owner were very friendly.

I would highly recommend this hotel - directly opposite Lichtenberg U+S-Bahn station, an easy 8-stop hop into the centre. Also extremely convenient location to get to Schonefeld Airport. There is also 3 separate shops nearby for day-to-day items such as toothpaste, water, alcohol (although not necessarily a day-to-day product!) etc. The rooms, although basic in terms of facilities (and the vague background smell of cigarette smoke) were extremely clean and the shower was top-notch. The hotel breakfast was very good, with plenty on offer each day. Even better, if you purchase the bed and breakfast option, if you are unable to have breakfast for one day during your stay (as was our case when we had to catch a flight very early in the morning) they will prepare you a packed lunch for the trip (complete with boiled eggs!). All staff were extremely friendly and helpful Overall, cannot really fault this hotel and would highly recommend!
