Positive: We liked the Regency style of the hotel, the outdoor patio facing the sea and our large comfortable bedroom which was clean and had a good shower. The food was excellent, and the dinner menu changed daily. Breakfast generous . The staff were always pleasant and helpful which makes a stay at the Riviera special.
Negative: In this intense heat which had been going on for several weeks, the lack of a fridge in the room was definitely frustrating and surprising.
Summary: A really pleasant relaxing stay in this lovely hotel.

Positive: Large room overlooking the seafront prom and beach. Very large comfortable bed. Very clean and well- maintained. Decor in the ‘old style’ of traditional luxury seafront hotel. We hadn’t pre- booked car parking but the very helpful manager came to front of hotel to unloading bay, helped us in with luggage and then took car to car park ( found last- minute available space for us).
Location was brilliant- right on seafront and within easy flat walking distance of shops and cafes in streets behind seafront.
Summary: Lovely hot summer’s stay in traditional seafront hotel.

Fantastic location for coastal walks and anything in the town. The scenery you can access on foot if you can face a few hills is just breathtaking.
I stayed in two different single rooms, one at the rear and one at the front, both were very comfortable, but the Seaview was worth the extra money.
Rooms were immaculate, especially the bathrooms which I really appreciated.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff team across the board, who were very professional and kind, so I really felt at home, extending my stay from two days to a week
Negative:
There is only really one thing I would change, which would be to turn the more formal sitting room into a more comfortable room with sofas and armchairs where you could put your feet up after all that walking! That would take it from 9 to a 10 for me.
Didn’t really eat in the hotel so can’t offer any comment on that.

Brilliant friendly staff, good food nice linen and towels. Bit dated decor intererior but overall enjoyable experience.

Carpet throughout was a bit busy and dated furniture.

Fantastic......staff service and friendliness, location, comfort, etc. - I've stayed at the Riviera several times over the years, and I am never disappointed by the experience - I hope to be back again before the end of this year
Negative:
The parking is tricky, although the staff take care of it - nothing else offers any problems

Nice hotel we were on the third floor but lovely big sash windows that you could open fully which really helped, small fan, could do with buying bigger room fans. Lovely staff. Paying extra for parking bit annoying but hey ho. Very clean rooms. comfy beds
