It's our fourth year at this wonderful property. It's our happy place!!

Every single thing about our stay at Hotel Splendid was, indeed, splendid. All of the staff from the front desk to the bar to the restaurant were all so helpful and friendly, and the location cannot be beat if you are looking for a place to hangout and unwind. There is also a convenient walking path into the town of Baveno from the hotel to avoid the busiest road, as well as a shuttle stop right up the street for the Alibus that runs to Malpensa airport. The private lakefront beach is perfect for swimming and the breakfast buffet is impressive. Absolutely worth adding for your stay. I am not embarrassed to admit that, in a 4 night stay, we only ate one meal outside the hotel...the restaurant is just that good. Book your stay at Hotel Splendid, you will not regret it!

Professional staff, clean spacious room, Mountain View with noise from road. Terrace overlooking lake was perfect for pre dinner drinks and restaurant staff were very welcoming and helpful when deciding on food choices. Overall a good stay on the lake.

The hotel enjoys an excellent lakeside location with direct access to a private beach, making it an ideal setting for a relaxing stay. Throughout my visit, the staff were consistently friendly, professional and helpful. The breakfast offering was of a good standard. However, the availability of additional hot dishes that could be ordered was not clearly communicated, and greater visibility of these options would enhance the guest experience. There were two aspects that fell short of expectations. Firstly, the gym facilities require significant investment. Approximately half of the equipment was out of service, and the remaining equipment appeared dated and in need of replacement. In addition, guests are charged €12 per day to use the gym, which feels difficult to justify given the condition of the facilities. Secondly, the hotel applies a 5% service charge to guests' bills. This is not something I have commonly encountered at hotels. I was informed that the charge is distributed directly to the staff and, given the high standard of service I received, I was happy to pay it. However, greater transparency around this charge at the outset of a guest's stay would be appreciated.

This hotels gets the big things but fail on the small. Grand hotel, great beach, beautiful rooms, great breakfast, but as others note, you pay 25 to park for a day, in fact more if you use the car because payment is per hours capped at 25. We asked for iron. No. Not possible. Leave with staff and they will iron, I guess tomorrow.. and do on.

Staff was helpful and professional and very courteous! Specially Daniella, she was so helpful with my delayed baggage issue. Gorgeous hotel with access to Lake Maggiore. Thank you everyone!

Great hotel with spacious clean rooms, a private beach and pool and great facilities. Super friendly and helpful staff. Only downside is slow wifi :)

This is the most lovely hotel I have ever stayed at. We had absolutely nothing to complain about. You are always prepared for the images to be better than the reality but this was the other way around. The hotel, the rooms, the beach and the grounds are stunning. Clean, not over crowded. Calm and pleasant stay. All the staff was lovely. We didn't want to leave! The beach is amazing and a part of it is available for dogs which was amazing! We chose between Splendid and the grand dino but are happy we chose Splendid since it was so calm. This place has that little extra. We can't wait to come back!

Really enjoyed this hotel. Have a nice bar that you can also access from outside. Beautiful beach and pool area. It is about a 12 minute walk to the ferry. And sometimes it can be slightly noisy. My neighbor kept me up fighting with her boyfriend. Finally called down to the desk and they had it resolved in less than 5 minutes. My friends also got their laundry washed by hotel. So that was a great service. Lots of cruise liners (Viking) use that hotel. Again quite beautiful.
