“The staff at this hotel were excellent. The room was very clean and it was wonderful having the room cleaned every day. The breakfast every morning was very good. The hotel has a very unique charm that made for a lovely stay. The only negative I have is that I had to pay extra for a bathroom in my room and it wasn't immediately clear on Expedia that this is an upgrade. I didn't mind paying for it but it should be posted somewhere as it was not clear to me on booking and it was a bit surprising to pay for it at the hotel. Otherwise I had a wonderful visit and was very impressed with the quality of service.”

“Excellent staff.
Loved the apple a day basket.
No elevator. Difficult for a guest with mobility issues.
We were not aware breakfast was included. Once we went, found the cold offerings were great. Hot offering very limited for a cold winter morning.
Coming in after 10PM (if you forget the night key) requires coordination with the Walther. The man there is delightful, but it is inconvenient.”

“We stayed at Hotel Steinbeck for 2 nights to catch the Bernina Express and really enjoyed our stay here. The check-in staff was very friendly and offered to carry the luggage to our room. It was a classic hotel with an excellent restaurant and we were served with nutritious breakfast of a good variety and the lady who run the restaurant for breakfast was very friendly and efficient. Pontresina is a nice little town with majestic views of the mountains surrounding it and it is very quiet comparing to the big cities. ”

“Was not able to accomplish planned 100 ride due to fatigue. However the room was very pleasant and allowed for a great day of rest and recuperation. Hope to return someday to Pontresina to attempt the ride and when I do I look to once again staying at this great locale in the Engadin Valley. Thanks Hotel Steinbock for a great stay”
