“The hotel was in a good location close to restaurants, supermarket and bus stops. Unfortunately, there is a big problem with bed bugs.Having read ( just now) some of the recent reviews I suspect they are in most of the rooms. The hotel probably needs to shut down for a while to have time to truly take care of the problem. The cleaning ladies clearly clean, but that is not enough for this kind of an issue. I got bitten two nights in a row and barely slept. I don't recommend this place for this reason. ”

“Very old and poor condition. It badly needs to be refurbished. I cannot believe it is a 4 star hotel. Breakfast was cheap but you get what you pay. On the other hand the staff was very nice and helpful. ”

“We absolutely loved the Temple Hotel, it had a Knights Templar theme, from being ‘greeted’ by a suit of armour in reception, to iron braziers for the lights, medieval style furniture and pictures, even the key to the bedroom was an iron ‘Tau’ - all in homage to the spectacular Knights Templar Castle in Ponferrada.
In addition the rooms were comfortable, the welcome was warm, and breakfast was a veritable feast worthy of any knights!”

“Unfortunately the last remodel of this facility was probably 1960. This is a modern city with real hotels. I can’t suggest this to be anything more than a modest Albergue that obviously has private rooms ”
