“The hotel room, in this centuries old yet modern hotel, was large by European standards, with wonderful minibar and in room coffee selections. The room was very comfortable with excellent air conditioning, nice bed and perfect lighting. The hotel is a very short walk to many museums, the Viktuelmarkt, Marienplatz, and countless wonderful cafes, restaurants and shopping, not to mention all the magnificent architecture! The attached restaurant (deserts and drinks only) was inexpensive and delicious, with an extremely friendly and attentive server! We were so impressed with the hotel and friendly staff that this hotel is at the top of our list for our next visit to Munich.”

“Great stay and wonderful customer service. When we arrived they mentioned items in our room bar were complimentary. We had two bottles of water and a chocolate small wafer in the fridge. However, when refreshing the room, the cleaner gave us more bottles of water and a number of snacks, which we appreciated. A really nice gesture. Hotel bar staff was smiling and kind. We appreciated the AC, as it was quite hot in Munich. A number of places don’t have AC. Shampoo/body wash, along with conditioner bottles we (and the staff) could not open, they brought another. Overall the staff and atmosphere were wonderful. We would stay here again but we will check the amenities and function once we arrive.”

“Staff was excellent in response to guests , attitude and focus on getting guests assistance when needed , usually volunteering help without having to be asked first by staff . Breakfasts were excellent . Restaurant biggest short- fall , needs to be brought back to full staff and food offerings . Help with taxis and local neighborhood also excellent.”

“Lovely hotel with a great location! The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. The breakfast area has nice balcony with seating, definitely take advantage of that when the weather is good! I stayed in a junior suite, which is extremely spacious and has a large bathroom with separate tub and shower. The AC works great, it was very warm outside when I stayed in Munich, one day reaching 90F/32C, and the AC worked just fine in that heat!”

“Breakfast was great but coffee pot/cups very small. Free mini bar was not really a minibar - two bottles of water and two biscuits - what is standard in most hotels. Access to old city was great.”

“pros: location was fantastic. staff was very helpful; room was big; we arrived from Slazberg at 10 am and our room was ready; cons: very small single elevator, you’ll need to climb stairs to even use the elevator, we inquired about the hotel arranging a taxi to bring us to the airport at 5:30 am; they quoted 120-130 euros, uber was ~75 euros booking on our own. I mentioned to the night staff later, they said it’s how they do things. We took the uber. That left a bad taste in my mouth.”
