House/Villa - PORDIC Reviews
The house itself is beautifully decorated. Probably better suited for a couple as lots of little knick knacks that are better appreciated by adults perhaps. It would look gorgeous and cozy in the winter with all the candles. The winter garden is a lovely extension to utilise and really is a hidden gem as is the very pretty garden. Our hosts were very helpful and we really enjoyed staying in their home. If I were to grumble it would be that the 1 toilet is downstairs which won't faze many people but for myself it was a bit inconvenient. The stairs might not be suitable for people with mobility issues or very young children. The kitchen is well equipped and despite no washing machine (there are plenty of local laundrettes) it really is a pleasure to walk 1min around the corner to buy breakfast/dinner and cook. There is a weekly market in the village, Pordic, aswell as a Vietnamese takeaway van. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and love the area.
We had a lovely stay here at the end of August with our two children (9 and 11) and would thoroughly recommend it. The house is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean with a very pretty garden. The outside dining room was lovely and meant we could sit 'outside' in the evenings even when it was windy and cooling down. Just a few minutes drive away there is a little beach with lots of rockpools for the children to explore. Pordic is a great base with plenty of bakers to choose from, a tourist office and a couple of restaurants. St Malo, Dinan and the Cote de Granite Rose are great day trips about an hour's drive away. Isle de Brehat is very close and a must see. It is beautiful. The seaside resort of Binic is a 10 minute drive and has a lovely sandy beach, swimming area and plenty of restaurants.
We cannot recommend this property more highly! The house is beautifully decorated with such attention to detail. The owners are very charming, friendly and helpful. We stayed with our 6 month old daughter and Bruno and Magali made sure that the house was very well set up for her, including lots of toys for her to play with. We loved the outdoor garden room and although the weather during our stay was up and down this house and space made it enjoyable nonetheless. The town of Pordic itself is small but has all the basics (e.g. boulangerie, launderette) and is close to other larger towns with nice places to eat (e.g. Binic). We found the location perfect for exploring the Pink Granite Coast and other beautiful parts of Brittany. Would love to return some day and will be recommending to all our friends.
