The lobby and breakfast bar area was nice as well as the pool. The rooms need a major overhaul as they have old ceilings walls and decor. The bathrooms were old and had grout and old tile swere dingy and showers were like capsules. The balconies overlooked an old roof area and had some trash outside. This place had potential but the old rooms ruined it for me.
Before booking, carefully consider the price. The hotel interior is from year 2000, including a kettle that is absolutely useless because there is no bottled water, no tea or coffee etc. The old fridge is not perfectly clean and is also empty. Curtains allow 90% of the light through. The shower reminds the one on a ferry: one can only stand still there, behind the semi-cirled curtain and not move. Shower gel+shampoo/soap is 2 in 1. Air conditioning is ok. Breakfast - there is something very basic and shady looking, but not more. No inside car parking, you park on the street if there is space. Again, carefully consider the price of stay.
Close to the beach & the airport Karteros Hotel is in a great location. It is also 20 mins by bus from the port. WiFi is good, the room is large with lots of plug ports & a good sized bathroom. Breakfast had a wide selection of fruit, salad, hot items, pastries, fruit juice, hot drinks & more. The pool is large but not heated so can be chilly. A lovely one night stay.
