“The room was spacious, very clean and the bathroom was lovely and clean couldn’t fault anything. We ate at the restaurant the meals were lovely and a good choice to choose from. The only thing that was not 5/5 was the breakfast I had a cappuccino from the machine which was luke warm and there was no conserves for the toast or croissants, I had the smashed avocado and poached eggs on a muffin which was ok the eggs were cooked perfect the hollandaise was lacking seasoning. But would definitely stay again because the place was stunning and the views were to die for.”

“We originally had a room in the main hotel which was large but we hadn’t spotted that they had lodges too. We upgraded to a lodge with hot tub for my wife’s 50th. Loved it. Well appointed and staff could not do enough for us. Went way above what was required and we are very grateful. Check in is in the coach house which is the restaurant. Now, food! Had breakfast there an evening meal and Sunday lunch. The standard is superb, loved it. The roast was huge and very very well done one of the best roasts I’ve had in a long time. Excellent. Had a prawn starter both nights and that was spot on. Burger was nailed totally. Applause to the team. Breaky was always first class well presented and staff absolutely lovely Thanks for a great weekend”

“Super helpful staff, and a great place to take our family for a holiday. Our second visit and still a lovely place: safe and welcoming. Having the on-site wildlife was also a hit with our eldest- who rescued a hedgehog and helped feed the ducklings. One of the shower taps sadly didn’t like turning to cold - and the cabins did get very hot (mitigation being it was the 30 degree plus heatwave)”

“Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, clean room, very comfortable bed, excellent shower, delicious breakfast. Reasonably priced restaurant with a good range of quality food for your evening meal. We were only there for the one night visit because we wanted to see the shoebill stork at Exmoor Zoo but would definitely return if we going to be in the area again.”

“We felt the establishment was somewhat worn, and after speaking with some of the staff, we understood the reasons behind this, as they are currently undergoing a period of transition. We do recommend the place, and the staff are excellent, but I would suggest waiting a few months before making a reservation.”

“We stayed one night in one of the Garden Suites. However we were disappointed to find the buildings and grounds dirty and not maintained very well. Trees required trimming and overgrown areas needed clearing as they were attracting a lot of flies and midgies. The room itself was ok, bed was comfy and water was hot, however the overall appearance of the walls and ceiling was really tired compared to the images promoted. The room also wasn't particularly clean with hair, mould and dirt attached to skirting boards. The floor quite obviously hadn't been hoovered in a while with lots of bits lying around. There was no fan or air con, and you didn't really want the doors open due to the insects flying around. It would have been unbearable in 20+ heat. Having said that the restaurant had a nice array of food options, and the food was delicious and well priced. Service was a little slow but actually made for a nice evening (we had to talk to one another!) Breakfast was included and again was tasty with a good selection of choice. Some fruit options would have been nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but, in order for us to book a return visit, cleanliness and maintenance standards would need to be improved.”

“Not usually one to do the whole review thing but we had such a good experience. The cottage was great, the hot tub was fantastic, our food was equally good and all the staff couldn't do enough to ensure we had an excellent stay. Abi and the gent in the jacket (sorry didn't get your name) were both spot on in the coach house, an absolute credit to the grange. I'd highly recommend a stay here or even just coming for dinner :)”

“Me and my Wife stayed for a couple of days, staff were amazing, food was lovely ( best breakfast we’ve ever had ) and being able to relax in the hot tub in the evening really topped it off!”
