“What a wonderful experience!
First of all, Montmorillon is a charming little gem in the southeastern part of Vienne, and is perfect for an overnight excursion or as a stopping point when traveling across France … and La Bicyclette Bleue is the perfect place to stay. It is located just minutes on foot from the center of Montmorillon and everything you want to see and do is easily accessible.
The owners are also just lovely people, who know how to make you feel welcome and give you your space at the same time. They are kind, informative about Montmorillon, and simply pleasant to sit and speak with, with their characteristic English charm.
They have transformed their home in a lovely chambre d’hôtes. The guest quarters (and I have to say quarters here) occupy the entire second floor of the front section of the home, and include a spacious bedroom and a comfortable, modern bathroom complete with a shower and bathtub, both on your own private landing at the top of the stairs. Everything is so well-appointed too. From quality linens and towels to decoration, all the little touches really make the place special.
There’s a beautiful, manicured back garden, which is the perfect spot for a glass of wine on arrival, and the continental breakfast is copious and delicious. You might even be asked your preference of viennoiseries the night before in preparation.

You'll love Richard and Yvonne. They're so sweet. I had a wonderful time talking with them. They're very knowledgeable of the area and can help with suggestions.
I'd absolutely recommend staying here and would absolutely stay again!”
