If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat far away from the loud, busy city—this is exactly the place to go. La Pause Ecolodge Agafay is truly a hidden gem. Getting there is a bit of an adventure, but that’s part of the charm. Once you arrive, you’ll find yourself in a quiet oasis, surrounded by nothing but nature and calm.
The atmosphere is incredible—there’s no electricity, which adds to the experience. It’s just you, the desert, and complete peace. We stayed in a lodge, and when we returned from dinner, the entire space was lit up with candles, including the cart—it was absolutely magical. Everything was spotless, the food was delicious, and the staff delivered five-star service from start to finish.
If you need to slow down, recharge, and reconnect, this is the place to do it. Highly recommended.

The location, the food, the setting was amazing. Like an oasis in the desert.
Negative:
There was no electricity in the room, now in 10 months of the year it’s probably fine but not in the hot months of Summer. I could not sleep in the room without aircons, since tried to sleep outside.. did not really work..
Summary: Magical place, great setting but needs some updates in the room to make it more comfortable.
