Lake life is Calling | House in Osceola

Arrive, unpack, feel at home.
1 hr from the Twin Cities (give or take 15m). Our house is located on Big Lake, part of 3 refreshing lakes- Church Pine (170 acre), Round Lake (60-80 Acres), and our Big Lake ( 245 acres). 2 boat landings, an underpass, and a channel so pontoons and smaller boats can cruise all 3 lakes water levels permitting.
When the season permits, go for a swim, fish, relax, float, 20' lily pad. Lots of games and puzzles. Shop the boutiques of Osceola or enjoy the falls, downhill ski at Trollhaugen, check out the Taylor's Falls ferry or 'pothole' Interstate Park. Fisherman often cruise our lakes with a popular route past our dock.
1 king bed and with a master bath, 2nd upper bed has queen bed. 1st floor bedrooms both with a queen bed. Full size Pull Out in basement (sorry but not too comfortable). Our living room sofa is often a hit as it can comfortably fit 4-7 sprawled out adults. Sunroom has a memory foam queen pull out, this room is sunny with limited window coverings.
We just completed an extensive landscape and boathouse renovation in 2024-25. Added to our outdoor space is the patio on top of our boathouse (No boathouse interior access). A new firepit area and sweeping steps and path to the lake.
LOTS of local ordinances (Laws). Polk County restricts our sleeping accommodations to 8 persons max, regardless of age (no exception), and the number of humans allowed on our premises. We maintain zero tolerance for violations of any laws on our property, including those enacted after booking. We require all bookings to provide the names of each guest and the required reading and to abide by our house rules prior to approval of the booking.
We are a nature-friendly parcel, so excuse our exterior spiderwebs and non-grass yard. We do routine exterior cleanings in the spring and a few times mid-summer. We try to balance human presence with nature's critters. I spend a bit of time maintaining our sandy swimming area to minimize the weeds in an eco-friendly manner.
New in 2025, a level 2 EV Ford charge station. (non Tesla). This EV charger only has power from approximately 9:15pm to 1:45pm M-F and all day on Saturday and Sunday. as set by our power company. There is NO power during the day Monday - Friday from 1:45pm-9:15 pm (approximately).

Lake life is Calling Reviews
Beautiful location! Highly recommend
I rented this property for a ladies weekend, it was the perfect space for us to kick back and relax for a weekend! The living areas are so spacious and comfortably fit all 6 of us (could have easily accommodated 8). Would most definitely rent this home again and recommend it to others!
This house was great for us! Loved having the elders on the upper floor and the 20-somethings on the main floor. Ping pong in the garage lounge was a blast, and countless games of cards were played in the sunroom. The lake views, old growth trees and a variety of beautiful birds make for a peaceful setting. Osceola is a cute town with a gorgeous waterfall right in the middle. Renting a "vintage" pontoon boat from Mork's Big Lake store was a favorite activity. This was a classic family summer vacation and we'd do it again.
