“Great communication; very nice to be met at the door rather than the often traumatic process of arriving at these rental properties. Lovely historic place, large rooms, updated, lots of windows, sunlight, fresh air (which is helpful since, like apts in Rome there are some sewer odors now and again). The neighborhood is right in the heart of historic Lisbon, abundant restaurants and bars, easy transportation (you can catch a taxi at your front door effortlessly). Excellent, safe, walkable location, near many of the sites and easy to get from here to the others. The place was super clean; the mattresses were futon-like; the finishes were amazing. One note: while it says second floor, it's really more like a third floor apt (no handrails) so if you have accessibility issues, this will be a challenge.”

“Our stay here in Lisbon was wonderful! We were met at the apartment and given thorough information at check in. The host was extremely responsive. We had no hot water the first night and Mario came right away in the evening and fixed it. The apartment was clean and comfortable and well equipped. There were coffee pods for our use in the morning. It's a great location in Alfama, old town, with many shops and restaurants nearby. The apartment is on the second floor with many steps, which wasn't a problem for us, but people should be aware. Also cars are not allowed on the street, which again wasn't a problem for us as we had no car and you could easily get transportation right down the street. I would definitely recommend this apartment when staying in Lisbon. ”

“Our stay at this beautiful apartment was wonderful. My experiences with VRBO have been very good but this was just perfect in every way. The rooms are big and airy, the living room and dining room are large and they overlook the lovely rooftops of Lisbon. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped. The ceilings are high giving that wonderful additional feeling of space. The host Mario is incredibly responsive to all communication. We were given 3 key sets for party of 5 people which was wonderful. The neighborhood is of Alfama wonderful and full of character with cafes and restaurants. We also went to 3 Fado shows. All more beautiful than the next. - I have travelled a lot but soulful Lisbon and this beautiful apartment top my list of experiences. We stayed 2 full weeks. An unforgettable stay. “Truly a fantastic stay! The space was beautiful and clean and convenient while still maintaining this old world charm. The apartment has tons of amenities that make you feel right at home. The neighborhood is quiet but there are tons of restaurants and shops nearby. I was there with my girlfriends and we always felt very safe. Mario and Rui were super responsive and accommodating. The only thing I would caution is the stairs - they’re a bit steep so probably not the best choice for people with mobility issues. Besides that, I cannot recommend this place enough! ”
