Booked an apartment room (executive studio) and hotel staff at first refused to admit this was the case as they did not understand the room type names. Allocated a standard room and told that was all that was available. Hotel management them the next day acknowledged their mistake but did not apologise or offer a refund for the price difference for the downgraded room, they offered a measly 17 euro free breakfast for the remaining two mornings. Shocked doesn’t cover how I felt and the hospitality was non-existent - in fact they made me feel like it was my problem or indeed my fault for booking with a third party! Hotels.com honestly I can’t fault (apart from various back and forth messages and calls) as they refunded the difference in cost without too much hassle and were very understanding, polite and apologetic. Oh had I had one free breakfast - it was awful and wouldn’t recommend. The room was at least clean and a good standard.
