Les Suites Angevines | Apartment in Angers, Pays de la Loire

Positive: I have been using Booking.com for almost 20 years and this is the most perfect apartment I have stayed in. It is on an amazingly quiet street, yet only 100 m from the main thoroughfare in Angers, where you can find trams and buses to wherever you want to go in the local vecinity. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the train station with fabulous connections to Nantes, Saumur and beyond. There are range of very good supermarkets within a two minute walk as well as lots of bars and restaurants to suit all kinds of tastes. The apartment itself is absolutely stunning. The owner has finished it to an amazingly high standard and has paid attention to details, both aesthetically and practically : there is a very good range of matching glasses, crockery and cutlery and you will find every type of pot and pan you could possibly desire to cook your evening meal and then use the dishwasher to get rid of the evidence. The bed is very very comfortable. The bathroom is enormous and the light flooding in from the terrace and skylight is perfect. ( There are also blackout shutters if you wish to keep the apartment cool.) You can then take your glass of wine onto the patio and enjoy the bamboo dappled sunlight. What more could you want after a day of sightseeing? Please book this accommodation if you stay in Angers.

Negative: If you have mobility problems or are frail, you might find the couple of steep steps from the pavement to the front door difficult to use. The door is heavy and this could be an issue.

Positive: Fantastic large apartment in a great location in Angers. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The terrace was lovely in the morning to eat breakfast. Great that it had storage for our bikes too. We really enjoyed our stay here and host went over and above to assist us when my husband was taken ill, phoning the Dr and staying with us as they needed to ring back on a French phone and we also have very limited French. Definitely a super host! Also gave great recommendations on restaurants and things to do on our first evening. Definitely recommend staying at this apartment

Negative: Nothing, everything was good for us as a couple. If there were four people in the apartment then one thing to be aware of is that the bathroom was off the bedroom. So would suit a family but maybe not two couples.

Positive: The host, Mrs de Labareyre was amazing. Shen came to meet us and showed us all the facilities. She even made an evening restaurant at an incredible place for us. She was wonderful.

Negative: Great location, all the required facilities in the apartment. Nothing was too much trouble. Parking was easy, in the street and after discussion with our host, place for bicycles was organisied.

Positive: The location. The facilities. Extremely comfortable. Mrs de labareyre was a very kind and helpful person. She shared a lot of information about the city , maps etc . And could not have been more helpful or kind. We arrived early, and that was not a problem for her. We highly recommend this place

Positive: Fabulous ground-floor appartment. Fully equipped kitchen. Central but very quiet. Lovely host who went out of her way to help us. The appartment is actually even nicer than the photos.

Positive: We stayed in the attic apartment which had everything you could possibly need. The bed was fabulous, great ventilation through dormer windows, good shower, lovely sitting area. Our hostess was so helpful, and met us on arrival to explain everything. She even helped us with bags up the stairs. An outstanding stay 11/10
