“Older hotel. Nice restaurant. Basic rooms are plain. Blackout blinds are nice. Tennis courts and beach is nice. No help with bags entering or leaving. Confusion with staff in English multiple times. OK experience in the area for a couple days.”

“Villa Regina is very tired, poorly maintained room; black mould in shower, cracked shower tray, sloppy paint job, dirty rug, cupboards that stank of damp and old and made all my clothes stink and little to no soundproofing. It’s a 4 star that would struggle to get a 3 star rating in any other country. Staff on reception were so aloof, least friendly we’d come across. Property has no pool service, all courts are dirty, just not up to its 4/5 star billing. I’m sure the new annex is better but I would not pay €900 a night to stay in this hotel. It doesn’t deserve 5 stars. ”
