$9.99 /day for WiFi. Even though most hotels offer free WiFi.
Paid parking! Unless you’re planning on staying inside the hotel for the duration of your stay you’ll pay $36 for valet or $20 for self parking and $5 each time your vehicle leaves the parking lot in the same day you paid the $20 to self park.
No microwave oven! Which means don’t bring back leftovers or you’ll be eating cold food. Either way you’ll be leaving the hotel grounds for food costing at least $5 to retrieve your car from self parking or pay $36 for valet to retrieve it for you.
This place is like a trap. Once you check in the real billing meter starts and your alternatives are non existent.”

“Unfortunately, my stay at the Marriott Downtown Jacksonville was a little disappointing. Multiple elevators smelled strongly like urine. I reported it to the front desk, and while I was told it would be taken care of, one of the same elevator still smelled later it seemed like they had just sprayed air freshener to mask the odor rather than actually cleaning it.
The issues didn’t stop there. The air conditioning in my room wasn’t working properly, making the room uncomfortable, and the toilet wouldn’t flush consistently.
For a Marriott, I expected much better maintenance and attention to cleanliness. Hopefully these issues are addressed for future guests.”

“Although the property is undergoing renovations and a snafu kept our room from being ready at checkin, the helpful, friendly staff members made all the difference. The rooms are also recently renovated, clean, and comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again all because of the staff.”

“Hotel was overrun with loud guests just hanging out all over the lobby throughout my stay. Yelling, kids running around. Very low brow. Room was renovated and good. Common areas in bad need of renovation.”
