Summary: Don't expect much in the way of hotels in Lopburi
This is one of the best, but still pretty rough for anyone accustomed to 4 or 5 star
Has everything you need but very basic
Breakfast minimal but comfortable setting
Transport to anywhere is directly out front and has a wonderful night market twice a week right next door
Reception and cleaning staff helpful and friendly

Summary: I always enjoy returning to the MDR Hotel. The food at the No. 44 Cafe is alway good. The staff is so very nice and also very accommodating.

Summary: The MDR staff are extremely nice. Some staff speak a bit of English while others speak very little. We know enough Thai to get our needs met. They have English menus so you can just point to what you want. Laundry is quick and efficient as well as cheap. Recommend leaving 100 baht with the laundry to ensure same day turn around.
While tipping isn't really necessary in Thailand we did leave a small amount when we ate (or had a drink) in the restaurant.
Children are welcome. cribs (infant beds) are not available.
