“Roomy and clean and well located - ample legal street parking on union avenue”

“The room was nice overall and decorated well. I'm glad I was on the second floor, since I suspect you would be able to hear creaking from people walking upstairs from the downstairs room. However, this did not impact my rating. This place felt more like an Airbnb. There's no front desk or hotel staff. It's basically just four rooms in a building with a small shared kitchen area. I was perfectly fine with this, though. The check-in and check-out process was very easy, and the communication with the host was good. It's also in a great location, which is just a few minutes' walk from the train station and half a block off of the main strip. The room did not have blackout curtains, which impacted my stay since I had taken a red-eye flight and needed to sleep while it was still light in order to catch up on lost sleep. Of the two windows in the room, one technically had blackout curtains, but since they fell below the air conditioning unit, I had to decide whether to block the light from that window or have the air conditioning on an 85° day. The second window only had a shade that only filtered out about half the light, so a lot of light got through there as well. I deducted one star for this, since I would have expected black-out shades or curtains at any hotel.”

“Smooth, remote check in. Classic Hudson wooden home, right off Warren Street. Well appointed room. Classy and clean.”

“Overall, the room was clean and well maintained, and the property is very centrally located. Communication between the host and guest was excellent, with all rules and information clearly communicated. Parking was easy to find, which was a great convenience. The only reason I’m giving 4 out of 5 stars is due to personal preference, as I tend to prefer brighter rooms and larger bathrooms. That said, the stay itself was pleasant and comfortable. The snacks provided were a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch.”

“The access to the room was user friendly and easy. The room was exactly as portrayed in the registration photos, nicely decorated, personal climate controls, upgraded shampoo and soaps, snacks and extremely clean. The room was conveniently located several hundred feet from shopping and restaurants. There was considerable ample street parking close to the hotel. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nautical Nest and are looking forward to a return visit. Larry & Diane Katz”

“Room was wonderful, actually beautiful. Bathroom was wonderful. Quite a problem transporting cups of tea without a tray upstairs. The enamel cups got extremely hot from the tea water. They had quite an original solution to their tv station costs. ”

“clean, nicely appointed room with all the little extras that count: tissues, makeup towel, coffee maker, trash basket in bathroom and main room, even a little kitchen area on ground floor with oatmeal, snacks, fruit, tea, halfnhalf, oat and almond milk for coffee in small fridge. They leave you a couple bottled waters as well. Great location right off Warren street where shops and restaurant/bars are. Only small issue is if you drive, you have to move your car from one side of street to the other, depending on whether an "even" or "odd" numbered day. ”
