Giovanna was very helpful and flexible and determined to ensure that we had a great stay. She is clearly someone who cares about her guests.
Acquacalda is a great location if you are after a beautiful and tranquil spot for a restful holiday.
Negative: There are not really negatives but things to be aware of: 1) the beach in Acquacalda is made of large pebbles/rocks and it can be rather difficult to enter the sea when it is a little rough. Not an issue for us but it could be for a family with young children; 2) Also, transport options are somewhat limited and there is not an awful lot in Acquacalda (although there are a couple of restaurants), so having a means of transport (rental car or scooter) would be advisable.

Giovanna the host was amazing! Prior to the trip she was in constant contact via WhatsApp and making sure we had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Upon check in she met us at the property, walked us through, answered any questions, provided local information and even left us with some welcome gifts. The property is exactly as described, beach front view with an amazing balcony off main living area and the upstairs private deck was amazing. The area is very quiet, close to town about 18 minute drive and beach is footsteps from the apartment. The only issue and no bearing on property, the area only has 1 or 2 areas to eat so be ready to make the drive. All in all an amazing stay and even with the distance to Lipari, I would prefer to stay here because of the space, the beauty of the area and how welcoming Giovanna was!
Negative:
Again, distance to town is just something to be aware of.

We had made a mistake on the booking, we were out by one day (we arrived a day earlier than planned). Not only were they able to accommodate us but we got an upgrade to a sea front room which was lovely and prepped it for us at short notice. Views and proximity to the sea were great!
Negative:
Accommodation was fine. There are not a lot of services in the village and the beach is made up of large stones and not so easy to swim if the wind is onshort.

Host Govanna was exceptional going beyond to care for her guests.She recommended nearby restaurants that were fantastic and affordable.
We had transportation difficulties and she was very understanding! She set us up with a car rental through Giovanni at the Pitstop..and arranged an affordable shuttle from the ferryport.
Wished we had more time at this wonderful accommodation, to further experience the fabulous nearby restaurants, beach across the street and our room with beautiful seaside views.
Highly recommended...do yourself a favor book this seafront Guesthouse to boost your Lippari seaside experience...choose the "upgrade your room "option(we had room # 12) to fully appreciate this seaside villa experience...truly unforgettable ! 🍁
