Summary: You will discover a beautiful, tranquil retreat nestled among the surrounding woodlands and lakes. The lodge was exceptional, boasting lovely features and providing everything necessary for your stay. Please note that you will need to bring your own cooking oil, butter, foil, and personal bathroom toiletries. While shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner (in one dispenser) and hand and body moisturizer are provided, they are in very small quantities. Waking up to the abundant sounds of birds is a wonderful experience; you will find it an absolute joy to spot and photograph them, as they have feeders on the trees outside the lodges. The hot tub was a delightful amenity, and we greatly appreciated the homemade cake and fresh loaf awaiting our arrival. The information provided before our stay was exceptional, offering valuable advice on local restaurants, pubs, and attractions, as well as clear instructions on how everything operat. You have the option to reserve a complimentary barbecue for delivery. Please note that two bags of self-lighting coals are required, at a cost of £3.00 each, as one bag may not suffice. While the barbecue itself was a bit unstable due to its age and rust, we were. The lakes are nice, not close to the lodges but just a short walk down a pathway. The fishing was enjoyable, with a mix of smaller and some larger fish observed. I wholeheartedly recommend this location to anyone seeking a tranquil and serene getaway. This establishment is truly delightful.

Fishing was good fun.
Good location.
Very peaceful. Lovely sitting in hot tub listening to the birds and owls at night.

Summary: Location just off the beaten track, close enough to enjoy the new Forrest without long drives, far enough out to not have too many people around.
Lodge is big, comfortable, spacious, really well furnished and clean. Hot tub was perfect. Highly recommend the arrival breakfast package, and the lovely touch of freshly cooked bread and cake was a great welcome gift! Highly recommend and will be going back to stay again.

Summary: Can’t rate this place enough! The lodges are down the lane so you feel secluded (even with others staying in the lodges I didn’t notice at all) and surrounded by lakes, was great for me and my dog not only to visit the new forest nearby but having such a great ans dog friendly lodge and ample space to take him for quick toilet breaks! My lodge had a hot tub and spa bath too which was enjoyed! The thoughtful touches weren’t un noticed (firewood and instructions, tons of information on local food and things to do, home made bread and cake!) was perfect for us, thank you so much!
