Positive: Sofas and bed very comfortable. Quiet at night. Kitchen well equipped. Lots of room to park the car. Adjacent to the Six Ashes pub which served excellent food and real ale. Good location to explore the area.
Negative: The shower heating control didn't work properly meaning that showers were too hot. The heated towel rail didn't work so the bathroom was cold. Tea towels were old. New washing up bowl needed.
Summary: Good Cottage ....bad weather !

Very comfortable to relax in, lovely to have a bath and very comfortable bed.
Negative:
A little cold when the weather was cold - the bathroom and kitchen radiators were controlled in the flat below.
Summary: Very comfortable 2 week stay - would recommend

Nice quiet country setting next to pub if needing food or help (although we did not need)
Negative:
Steps to property not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or dogs and out area not secure for dog to be let off very near to very main road. Welcome pack consisted of milk that was out of date and curdled and opened biscuits and an empty loo roll in bathroom, had to clean round floor first as dirty (no mop could me found a used floor wipes. Carpet also needed a clean. We bought all our own covers as to help not make any mess. Marks on the walls behind bin, so could do with some re paint and tlc. Lovely little retreat and base if it upgraded a little. Wifi and phone signal very poor in parts of property.
Summary: Cosy retreat but needs tlc!

This cottage is a breath of fresh air.. the hosts were kind and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable, meeting the locals in the Six ashes Inn adjoining the property was also very nice and everybody made our stay so very worthwhile.. the cottage was well equipped and warm and very peaceful. Will be booking again soon.
Negative:
We enjoyed the cottage and feel it would be wrong to criticise, it was good value for money.
Summary: Great place to unwind, and good value and lovely hosts.
