Positive: Comfortable, spacious and overall clean apartment, bed is fine. All appliances are good, shower is perfect. 10 minutes walk from the shore. The pictures online are beautiful, made probably by the professional photographer. Their contents are identical to reality.
Negative: The system of checking in is not convenient for the guests. The owner changes the access code after the previous guest leaves the property; also, it has a 5- hour window between the previous check-out and your check-in. 5 hours for cleaning? In our case, we received the access code in French at 3 pm and in English at 4 pm. During the peak season, there is probably no chance to enter the property before 4pm to drop the bags. Also, kitchen cleaning requires improvement. We found some plates greazy. We did not find the plastic bags in the property to sort out our trash in 3 categories and dispose it.

Negative:
- Need to pay for parking although there was a spacious car park within the premises (should have been free) and it was also used to rent to others that are not staying in the property
- Sofa bed not too comfy (sagging mattress)
Summary: Walking distance to the falaise and town center (10 mins walk)

The location is great, you reach the beach and city center in 5-10 min. Good that you can have a parking right next to the apartment, we paid 20€ to a man who was looking after the apartments (as i understood) however he did not give us a receipt :).
Negative:
The facilities were ok, however the dishes in the cupboard were dirty, smelly and the plates were tilting when you were eating because they were not straight. The building and apartment itself smells because of the humidity because it is an old one. The bed linen was definitely not clean, it did not smell like it, and you could see all sorts of hairs on the “white” sheet. A lot of dust on the furniture and in some parts of the room our slippers were sticking to the floor :) In addition the towels had different stains on them.
To sum up we did not feel comfortable knowing that the room was not properly cleaned and that someone else used it before us. It was ok for one night, but i would not return and probably pay a bit more next time but stay in a place where they do not save money on cleaning.

The room, separate bedroom, cleanliness and amenities. We wanted to enjoy Etretat and relax before our vacation was over. This appartment helped us just do that. Loved it!
Check-in and check-out were very smooth. Contact with the owners was good, they replied fast and told us everything we needed to know.
Negative:
The shower seems to be working on a hot water boiler which results in cold water very quickly. Private parking at the property is convenient but too expensive in my opinion. We stayed 2 nights (arrived around 16:00, left around the 10:30) and paid €50 - which was after a said discount of €20-25. There’s free parking nearby if you don’t want to park at the property.

The room was nicely remodeled. Clean, comfortable, nice kitchen and had what we needed for a short stay.
Negative:
Booking through booking.com was the only bad experience. This is NOT the property owners fault, they were great about the confusion.
