ODDSSON Midtown Hotel | Hotel in Haaleiti, Capital Region

“We found the unit to be not particularly clean, with a musty smell. The sheets were coarse with the occasional very small stain. While the listing may have noted that this is a self check in unit with limited parking, we missed these notes and were surprised by both. We secured the last hotel provided parking spot and saw multiple vehicles arrive to find that there were no available parking spots. The route from the parkade to your room appears to run through various storage/network rooms. All in all, we had better hotels in Reykjavik for the same price. Not recommended.”

“Breakfast was included and well appointed. Lots of good options.”

“Oddsson is minimalist in all the best ways. It is self check in, so arriving anytime works. There is nothing you don’t need, but has everything you do need. There are only 16 parking spaces, so you have to get creative if you don’t get one. Great place to stay.”

“room is clean and spacious, nice bathroom, the availability of an electric water kettle was great, breakfast is excellent except for a piece of hair I found in my wafflemix, but no big deal, as it happens, they should wear a hairnet when preparing food. Wifi is great, the only staff I met was the kitchen worker who was very nice. The only thing that really bummed me and my daughter was the lack of parking for late check ins, as we didn't know where to park because we don't understand your street signs. We had to drive around to look for a parking garage, the instruction was to park for a km. and a half from the hotel building but no specific street location. We finally stopped at a Lemon store parking lot and asked the locals who told us we can park right there at the grocery lot all nite. It was very frustrating.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was helpful especially Kata. There was only one issue that we experienced. The sink was slow to drain. We liked the location because it was close to the Ring Road access and easy access to downtown. Another issue is parking. They have 70 rooms but only 16 parking places. They instruct you to park in the neighborhood around the hotel. I was quite reluctant to park just anywhere but eventually settled upon a little business location right across the street. Oh, and we loved the Icelandic Lamb stew served in the evening. We recommend the hotel and should we go to Iceland again we would stay there again.”

“Great breakfast, easy check in”

“I was living at the 5th floor. Small but very good rooms. The only thing was the door locker but still good organized! Simple breakfast but satisfying. Good bed, good shower.”

“Great breakfast. Parking lot was great and to access.”

“The room is lovely and clean, the breakfast is nice especially love the waffle”

“Staff was great!”
