“We were attending a wedding at Powderham Castle and the old Vicarage was an ideal location to stay as it was within walking distance.

“We stayed in the Amethyst room, which had great views of the garden. Very tastefull, clean and quiet. Perfect. Jane, the owner and our host was lovely and friendly. I would most definitely recommend her breakfast. Delicious and 10/10 for our stay”

“Beautiful house. Was made to feel very welcome. All very easy. Unfortunately, I'm not a breakfast eater but I could see that it was all very fresh, well presented. Lovely place to stay. Would recommend for sure.”

“Two very good local restaurants but not cheap. Road works while we were there made it difficult to get out at night. Accommodation good but a little better attention to some of the cleaning would up the standard. Shower dripped constantly..”
