Palazzo Dragoni Reviews
“Very comfortable. Lovely hosts. Fabulous breakfast”
“My husband and I have traveled extensively in Italy throughout the years. Palazzo Dragoni and its charming hosts Roberto and Erminia are without a doubt at the top of our list. Absolutely everything was above and beyond 5 star and to perfection. It is situated at a perfect location in the Centrico historico just steps away from all the main attractions, the Duomo, Piazza Mercato and with breath taking views of the valley. We were given a choice between two rooms and decided to take the larger suite which was the size of an apartment with living room, bedroom, kitchen area and a large modern bathroom with two sinks and wonderful rainfall shower, not all easy to find in Italy in small hotels. The detail that was undertaken in the renovation of this Palazzo is unparalleled and must have been painstaking for the owners and hosts, from the wall hangings, to the furniture, to the costumes displayed of the past era of the Palazzo, to the breakfast room with many windows that overlooked views of the valley, to the antique clocks on display..The breakfast was out of this world, a banquet table filled with fresh local fruit, local cheeses, honey with the honey comb, pastries and tarts, cookies, salumeria, fresh homemade bread, a daily special and all made by Erminia. That does not even begin to capture all the delicacies. The staff who served us, a charming woman which I regret not getting her name, so accommodating and always with a smile. Erminia was always there asking if everything was “tutti bene” which of course it was much more than that. My only wish was that I could have spent a day in the kitchen with Erminia watching her cook all these delicacies, many of her mother’s recipes. Roberto was always there to greet us when we left for the day and upon our return, ready to make recommendations. Parking was easy and close to the hotel which Roberto secured for us.”
“Six stars are not enough.”
