Pendray Inn & Tea House Reviews
“Great location, helpful staff, beautiful room. Highly recommend!”
“They are doing some work on the waterfront and some of the "Harbour view" rooms face the construction.”
“We are a family of 4 and booked a family room with 2 double beds. The room was spacious but we found using the shower difficult. It was a hand held showerhead over a small bath tub - there was no where to attach the showerhead when standing up. It looks nice but is not practical and we found water easily escaped onto the bathroom floor. The hotel has tried to maintain the Victorian style, however it did still feel quite tired inside (there was external decorating happening though which will look nice once complete). Breakfast was included in our room rate and it is served in the layered style of afternoon tea. The staff were not particularly friendly and expected a tip after breakfast service even though it was included (I only mention this as it felt unusual and was not our experience in any other hotels we stayed in). I booked this hotel as an alternative option to the more modern style hotels available in the area. It was quirky and had a different feel but perhaps not the best option for a family. The location was very good though and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, the museum etc.”
