“Excellent, excellent and excellent is what I would like to say about our stay at this wonderful hotel. I have been to Charlestown before but never stayed. We have a medium sized dog (Sid) that we take everywhere with us, we know that most hotels nowadays are dog friendly but here was (in my opinion) above and beyond. There was a lovely doggy bag in our room with two ceramic bowls a rubber mat, dog treats and a tennis ball which Sid loved. All of the staff were first class and couldn’t be more helpful. The room was great with a comfortable mattress and pillows. We ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel and I thought that the food was very good, we had the sirloin steak which was cooked just right and I thought priced well. The breakfast selection was very good and well cooked and presented. Would I stay there again,ABSOLUTELY.”

“I had the cosy room and it is certainly cosy but it does say that in the description and worked well for a solo traveller like myself. I would have loved to have been able to order room service for dinner but that wasn't possible. Breakfast was great and staff were friendly.”

“Very comfortable room, had everything you needed, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc, bottled water replaced daily, fresh milk in the fridge. The bed was comfy Dyson fan in the room which was needed due to the hot weather. Lovely view over the harbour, beach bag hung up in room should you need to use it. Breakfast service was a little slow but delicious when it arrived”

“This is a fabulous place to stay in lovely Charlestown. The hotel, bar and amenities are excellent. There is a lively terrace to have a drink and something to eat while you soak up the views of the sea and harbour. The staff are all lovely and make you feel very much at home. We have visited before and it’s nice to pick up conversations with staff who make the effort to make you feel welcome. It’s an ideal place to stay if you are visiting the Eden Project or if you want a base to explore the St Austell and Fowey area. The rooms are very nicely decorated and feel plush. There is also free parking at the sister pub up the road, the Rashleigh Inn. All in all - top place to stay and lovely people!”

“Lovely place and lovely helpful staff. Went to an Eden session at Eden Project and the rooms at Pier House Hotel had dry robes that we were able to take to the concert as the weather wasn’t great. Lovely touch!”
