Summary: I had a mixed experience at this hotel! When I arrived I was told in quite a rude manner to move my car from where I'd parked it, even though I'd only left it there temporarily since I knew that my room was further down the driveway and I'd have to carry on driving there, once I'd booked in. Even after the 'telling off' I was still not welcomed, warmly or otherwise just barked at by this woman about what time breakfast was (only a one hour window and far too early in my mind! 8.30-9.30am, so I didn't manage to experience it on either morning). Because the way I had been spoken to on arrival had upset me I tried to make contact with the management but got no response online or by phone. I decided to walk along to the main building and express my views. I was met (at 6pm) by a very nice woman who assured me that the nippy woman from before was now off duty! I was reluctant to have the meal that I'd booked because I didn't want to be treated badly again but the nice woman convinced me to come along to diner. The diner was actually delicious and the service wonderful! I do wish that I'd realised before booking my room (and that they made it clear in the publicity) that it (and many of the other rooms) are not in the main house so you have to walk to them in the open air. Luckily it wasn't raining on my trip. The room was nice and clean but had no views of the lovely grounds - a bit like a very smart motel room! Not sure I'll be going back here!

Summary: Having visited many Manorhouses, Plumber Manor does not hold up to the standards you would expect when paying this much per night. Blankets instead of duvets. No body lotion. No conditioner. Burnt food at breakfast. Waiting half an hour for staff to take your breakfast order. Bar opens at 6 PM. The list goes on and on. While being spotlessly clean, it is old and outdated. And maybe that is some of its appeal for those liking this place. For us however this was not for

Summary: The hotel is stunning and the staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. We could not fault the food, whether it was breakfast or dinner. Our room was situated in the courtyard area, which is only a short distance from the hotel.
