Positive: A well equipped little cottage. A little quaint and quirky we loved the setting and the garden, which was private and great to sit out in after a day out. For railway fans having to cross the Ffestiniog Railway added extra charm - several trains were waved at from the garden gate! A great location to explore this beautiful and no too busy part of North Wales. Great walks from the cottage too. WE walked up to the local Ffestiniog railway station, caught the train back to town and walked back to the cottage - a great afternoon loop.
We had a small issue with the shower, but the owners were very good, easy to communicate with and got it sorted out - thanks.
Negative: Nothing we didn't really like, but a couple of observations. If you are getting a bit stiff in the back and limbs then you might find the upstairs a bit challenging, ducking beneath roof timbers to get to and from the bed for example. - all part of the charm and delight. Also if someone was not very mobile the access could be a bit of a struggle. Something to note, you park on the roadside in the village and walk a few yards/metres to get to the cottage. the area is very quiet and we found the community very "villagey" and friendly.
Summary: Quaint a little quirky and a delight.

Negative: Very rustic with a few creepy crawlies but it is a beautiful old cottage and that's what you get in an old house.

Positive:
Lovely cottage. Really liked the snippets of information the owner left around the property. A real piece of history. Excellent WiFi, tv good with a selection of dvds provided.
Negative:
Although a description of how to get to the property was provided, I still found it difficult to find! I suggest posting the what three words location would really benefit first time users.
Summary: Peaceful, quiet and relaxing

Positive:
The cottage was very cosy and a great, quiet get away. The wood burner heats up the cottage quickly in the evenings and the cottage is decorated with lots of its history.
The location is close to many walks and local shops but the village itself is limited in things to do.
We had an issue with the electric shower which when we contacted the owners about, they were fast to respond and very helpful.
Small things in the kitchen could make the stay better like fixing cupboard doors to stop them constantly opening and sharper utensils (plus a wooden spoon).
The bedroom, which is in a loft, was well equipped for a 4 night stay (and longer) with a very comfy bed. The bedroom in the evening was warm and didn't require additional heating.
Summary: Quiet getaway
