This modern studio cottage is wonderfully located on Long Island, just a 45-minute train ride to Midtown-Manhattan. You get to do all the "city" things (shows, museums, restaurants, etc) but still enjoy a magnificent respite right in the midst of the North Shore of Long Island. The cottage is romantically designed for a couple and fitted with all the necessitates and a cool kitchen as well as a small private deck with a BBQ. But it's also great for traveling businessmen/women, and the sofa transforms into comfortable extra sleeping for one or two in a pinch. It's around a-mile to the local beaches and about 45-minutes from Fire Island, a bit more to the Hampton's or north-fork wineries.
In short, it's perfectly located for those who want to be able to do a bit of everything or those who need to settle-in to be with family or work.

If you are looking for magical surroundings with courteous, accommodating hosts, this lovely, well located cottage may satisfy your craving. Beauty is found from the custom made entry gates, down the lovingly landscaped property along the winding gravel road which leads to the well appointed lodging. Full kitchen, comfortable sleeping areas, and did I mention the gracious hosts?
We wanted to have a quiet getaway while also being able to take in a show. This incredibly spacious and well designed home was the perfect spot for us to relax and get some amazing peaceful sleep. Incredibly comfortable mattress and the sectional works as an amazing second sleep area. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again! 12/10 recommend
The property is one of several buildings on a horse farm, very quiet, compact, beautifully decorated, and with everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. We enjoyed the lovely trees and bushes surrounding the property, as well as the easy-to-use gated entry system. Sagamore Hill, Planting Fields, and the shops and restaurants in town are an easy car-ride away. Rick was a friendly and responsive host.
