Positive: So nice, so clean and Solar Backup! There are frequent power outages in Popoyo. They are scheduled for every other day during the week from 8 AM to 5 PM and sometimes the power in town just goes out randomly. If you’d like an extremely well maintained property with charming hosts where the electricity and Internet always stays on then this is your place.

Positive: We loved our stay at Red Pepper! The rooms can get a bit hot at night with no air con, but everything was super clean and the facilities were great (kithcen, hammock and private veranda). If you stay here, make sure you do the noodle night on Wednesday. It was one of the best meals of our trip. Mark and his wife were also so lovely and accommodating. We were even able to hire a board directly from the hostel, which made everything really easy.

We were made to feel at home instantly! The whole place is completed to a high finish and is very clean and well laid out. One of our favourite places we stayed during our trip. I cannot recommend enough.
