Positive: Receptionist Anna was so friendly, helpful. Perfect English, service was the best I had in Norway. Sunday buffet was great and they gave me a table for one with a view. Breakfast was strong too.....
Garden area and jetty provided amazing access to the Fjord.
User friendly so I went for a swim!
Negative: Did not realise there was sheltered parking I could have used for the Motorbike until late!
Summary: Amazingly friendly receptionist. Fantastic location. Excellent food. Hard to fault.....

Positive: Location is perfect when travelling and you would like to have a simple overnight stay. The hotel lies directly at a lake. Free parking space. Friendly staff at front desk.
Negative: Rooms at the lake side are very hot during summer and there is no AC. Street side rooms are much cooler, but you have to pay more. The hotel is very outdated inside and outside. The current owners don't seem to have much eye for improvements.
We booked an à la carte dinner at 19:00 but when checking-in we were asked to come at 19:30 since there was a family buffet going on till 18:00 and there was only one kitchen staff member who had to clean up afterwards. At 19:30 we were told there only was a fixed menu with lasagne and bread (left-overs from the buffet...). Was it tasty? Nope, not really. A lot of carbohydrates and fat. We skipped dessert.
Beds are pretty hard to lie on. On the towels we found some grey hairs.
At the empty terrace there was a lot of dishes from previous guests. Most cushions of the outdoor furniture had stains.
At the breakfast buffet there was no natural yoghurt??? Only variaties with lots of sugar...When asked the staff told us they didn't had it. Strange.
Summary: Practical yes, comfortable not really. Lacking some needed TLC...

Beautiful location, good view from the room on the fjord and garden. The room can be hot due to the sun (luxury problem in Norway ;-) very good dinner
Negative:
At breakfast no staff was available, while it was clear that the cereals/muesli were forgotten in the buffet. We came in after 8 am, other guests were already in the restaurant. Only when we almost left two laughing guys came in, one guy opened a cupboard and put down 4 bowls with the cereals. The other one filled a bowl and went into the kitchen.
