“It's called the Crystal House now, in virtue of it's other use as an alternative healing practise. We were in the Turquoise Room and it was certainly turquoise which was fine by us. The room was clean, the beds very comfortable, perfect for a family. The price was reasonable, Phil and Sarina were very welcoming hosts and Strathpeffer is a great place to while away some time in. So, as long as you don't want everything in life to look like a Premier Inn, this place is definitely recommended. ”

“One night stopover only and room was fine for that. First impressions were decor was a bit dated, but bed was comfortable and it had all we needed. Didn’t book breakfast but Deli on the Square 100 yards away was great for that.”

“Wonderfully peaceful and home cooked meals. This is an older property which is used for retreats. Quiet and peaceful in a lovely village setting. Slept deep and sound.”

“I can honestly say we loved everything. From the friendly welcome, the beautifully decorated and furnished room, and the abundance of absolutely everything you might need, from lovely toiletries, choice of hot drink options, armchairs in room, and a mini fridge in the hall to put in any drinks etc. The option to bring in takeaways into the residents lounge/diner, and plates and cutlery provided for free, to a mass of LPs, CDs etc to play and enjoy.”

“A property of genuine character quite unlike the uniformity of hotel chains and underpinned by a genuinely friendly reception. It is, however, a little tricky to find.”

“It was a clean place qith a lovely garden in a very quiet area. The property is a bit run down and the bed/pillows were a bit uncomfortable. It has a good vibe with crystal names for each room and a crystal in each room”

“2nd visit. The Mauritian style curries are lovely as are their full Scottish breakfasts. It’s worth booking a superior double. The room was big with a very comfortable bed and a nice view. Strathpeffer is fascinating. Watch out booking with Expedia as I asked for B and B but they didn’t include it in the price. Will book direct next time!”
