“A delightful guest house right by the river. The room was spotless, with everything you could need for your stay. The breakfast was excellent, with a lot to choose from. Helpful staff and easy access to Ely.”

“I have stayed before, both times in room 4. It's perfect for a solo traveler like myself. The quirk of this room is that it has a private bath, but it's across they hall, and keyed as the room is. I don't mind--I like quirks. Some might. The breakfast is lovely. Buffet style, though the server brings along tea or coffee, whatever you wish. It's also in a lovely location, right along the river. A view of the narrowboats. :D New since my last stay: AC!”

“Excellent location right on the river side with plenty of eateries nearby. Room had a musty smell upon arrival but this soon went after being aired. Nice bed bathroom etc and excellent breakfast. What was challenging and confusing was the parking situation. Accommodation offered parking but where exactly was it?l drove around the back and there was a sign about one area being private boatyard parking. I spoke to one lady sitting by the garage who told me I was ok to park in the bigger yard area. However in the morning there was a note on my car saying I had parked in the boatyard area. There is no one to ask in the hotel when you check in nor adequate signage to to direct guests to the correct parking space.”

“The location is superb, on the waterside, a very good pub/restaurant (The Cutter Inn) nearby, accommodation is spotless, breakfast excellent. Don't let the name confuse you - it is not an inn, it is a guest house, but a very good one that I will go to again. Apart from at breakfast I saw no staff at all so can't comment on that aspect but it works.”

“Comfortable room, bed, pillows, heating. Excellent breakfast for such a comparatively small number of rooms. Not made sufficiently clear that there is no en suite on the single room, but in fact the single use bathroom opposite is probably larger than you would get as an ensuite. The lack of reception staff is disconcerting, but the key codes work.”

“We had an overnight stay after attending a concert at Ely Cathedral. All I can say is it was a perfect stay in a small but high spec en-suite room with an extremely comfortable double bed, 2 comfortable armchairs and an excellent shower. Everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was good, served in a lovely breakfast room. Can’t imagine that anything could be improved!”
