“The king bed was comfortable. The AC unit worked well and was much appreciated because it was a hot week of weather. The bathroom should have had grab bars in the shower. The toilet seat was extremely low making it difficult to use. Had to use a hand towel as a shower mat. No instructions on how to request replacement towels. Room refrigerator worked well. We didn’t use the room microwave or coffee maker that was provided . We booked for a week stay. This accommodation would be better suited for one or two nights stay.”

“Room, bathroom and bedding were all clean. You can see recent updates have been made and all standard room items were newer (fridge, TV, microwave, coffee maker). Outside property could use some sprucing up, mainly picking up the random 2x4s laying around and lawn/weed care. Check-in was pretty smooth, staff I met were friendly! Overall a good experience for the price and I appreciated being able to bring my dog.”

“This room was so reasonably priced, I didn't know what to expect. It was great for the price. The mattress was comfortable. The location was quiet, but convenient. The bathroom was updated and pleasant but the rest of the room could stand a little upgrading. The carpet is old and not the cleanest. A laminate floor would really spruce it up. Otherwise, check is was a breeze. They sent us a code for the door so we didn't have to stop at a front desk or bother anyone.”

“The room was clean but the staff are not on site. It was easy check in by use of a keypad. It was right on the main drag of town so pretty noisy. The toilet was so low it was hard for me to use - I am quite spry but if anyone had mobility issues, it would be very difficult. The toilet also would not flush during the night so I had to ask my husband to fix it. The curtains were not opaque so lots of light came in. I guess for the money we expected more. It is one thing to pay around $100 or less and have some of these issues but for over $200 - absolutely not. I like this style of motel but just needed to comment on some of the things that could have been improved. It is close to the the start of the Heartland Trail which was a plus. I think the biggest thing is to get a higher toilet.”

“No check in, door code messaged to me. Had trouble with shower draining.”

“Sent a few messages that I never got a response to. Room had no extra pillows or blankets. Bathtub should be replaced. Bathroom needs a bath mat & a couple more towels! If people are staying for more than one night there should be enough coffee for two mornings. Occupants of room next to ours had a dog or dogs that barked thru out the night & loud voices.Our stay last year was better.”

“The room was clean but there wasn't any chairs. Just the bed. Shower didnt have much water pressure. Windows were kinda tough to open. There also wasn't any parking by my door. Price was good for what it was though. Id probably go back”

“The room was clean and acceptable however as I was unpacking the truck I was approached by two individuals who demanded my wallet. Beware as there may be crime in the area. The hotel itself was a fine place to rest.”

“It's the perfect place to stay if you want to hike Itasca State Park but don't want to camp. It's about a 20 minute drive from the south entrance. Cute rooms & very clean.”
