Rylands Farmhouse | Hotel in Wilmslow

Room was nice but with low ceilings. Never met with any staff, had a few restaurants close by.

Perfect for what we needed. Booked at very short notice (same day) got a quick and helpful response from the venue. Accommodation was clean and tidy, lots of space for 2 adults and a dog. Thank you!

Stayed at Rylands farm on a number of occasions, the latest visit was well below standard i would expect given this is marketed as a luxury stay. Walked in to lights on and an empty cigarette packet on the floor, I actually thought someone had just vacated (I checked in about 7pm). the floor was dirty, the shower cubicle was not good, cobwebs in corners and damp on the floor and ceiling, very dusty and just not good enough. I actually provided initial feedback but received no response?! Very disapointing, would I recommend, no I wouldn't right now

Struggle to understand the good reviews. The positives were the space in the Family Cottage, the through breeze in the heatwave, parking, decent towels & bedding and that the beds were comfy enough despite being low quality. BUT it is far from 'luxury' accommodation and wasn't clean. The shower had black mould between the tiles and round the shower head, no housekeeping in 3 nights, not even bins emptied or toilet paper replenished (we bought our own). The room in the roof and the bathroom were like a sauna. Continental breakfast is included which was....ok. Option of brown bread would have been appreciated. Note the road noise is high on the front. Especially Room 12 Family Room. Not helped by a window that didn't shut properly.

The hotel is fine but not great for tall people. The ceilings in my room were rather low, so were the doorways in the breakfast room. If I didn’t have to hunch all the time it would have been great.

Room was clean, and cosy - night time access was not great, as no lighting when trying to locate the property from the main road or lights outside the accommodation, so good old iPhone torch to the rescue. Apart from that, well decorated, clean, free parking and easy access to Manchester Airport, which was a key reason we booked.

Fantastic little hotel, friendly staff, very quiet and peaceful. Great continental breakfast. Sadly on this visit I didn’t have hot water in the room on the morning of my departure (absolutely fine the evening before). I was offered an alternative room to use facilities before departing.

The room was pleasant and spacious, although a little cold on waking the following morning. Its an ideal spot if you are travelling to the airport with a lovely pub on its doorstep. Id have rated higher but the shower had lots of black mould which is always a big concern for us due to health reasons- i can see this was also mentioned in a review a month ago so it does not look like this has been attended too since.
