Positive: I really enjoyed my stay here that I came back for 2 more night during my long trip. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The shuttle into town is really useful but can take a while with the traffic , as a solo traveller they often used the scooter driver which was so fast and convenient for me instead.
The choice for breakfast is huge and lots of courses.
The rooms are big and bright , the beds are huge. I think the rooms are really well designed . It’s a newer hotel (Sabana Bliss) so everything felt new and fresh.
Negative: The staff start cleaning very early in the morning and making noise and shouting down the corridor which woke me up several times. There is very little soundproofing.
Both times I stayed I had to ask for the bed sheets to be changed as they were marked / had white powder on them. Both times done quickly but was a repeat issue.
Summary: Beautiful stay tucked away from the noise of Ubud

Positive: A huge thank you to all the other hotel staff, they made our stay incredibly comfortable and wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect and the price-quality ratio is excellent. The service and small details complete the cozy atmosphere: the bathroom, the cleanliness, the tea break downstairs in the hotel lobby, and the welcome card. 🫶🙏
Negative: Unprofessional check-in and poor management of luggage.
Our experience was deeply disappointing due to the service provided by the receptionist, Febri.
Although we had pre-arranged an 8:00 AM check-in, we were left waiting for 2 hours. Because we paid for two days, but in fact we only stayed for one day. Despite the hotel appearing quite empty at the time, the staff showed no urgency to assist us. Instead of resolving our check-in, we were repeatedly told to just "go to breakfast," which was unhelpful as we were on a tight schedule.
Even more concerning was the handling of our luggage, it was simply left outside/in a different building without any proper security or explanation. This caused immense stress and disrupted our entire day in Ubud.
This lack of professionalism was not a one-time incident; the same staff member caused unnecessary panic during our check-out, ignoring our pre-arranged 6:00 PM transfer.
While hotel and the rest of the team were wonderful, I strongly urge the management to address the conduct and organization of this specific staff member. The current level of service is unacceptable for a guest who has followed all prior agreements.

Everything about Sabana was great. We especially liked that it was right at the start of downtown ubud but it was off the road a little and so the sound disappeared and you felt surrounded by nature. The staff were all so sweet and attentive.
Summary: We can’t wait to come back. I’d recommend it to anyone coming to Ubud.
