Negative: I contacted the owner a couple of days before our arrival and was informed only at that time that the cost of electricity was extra and would be deducted from our Good Housekeeping bond . I was also informed that we had to get rid of our own rubbish at our own expense. Nowhere was any of this mentioned on the booking page. This was very disappointing as never before have I had to do this and I have stayed in a lot of properties all over Ireland. Please be aware of this if booking this property.

Positive: The house was big enough to facilitate 3 generations comfortably. Allowing each to have their own space. It was positioned close to the beach and lake. A restaurant was walking distance and another provided a complimentary taxi bus to and from the restaurant. The food was excellent specialising in seafood which is a hot favourite with us all. The weather wasn't the best but the sun room made you forget due to it's brightness. The owner was extremely helpful and informative of the local sights, shops, doctors, vets ( the house is dog friendly), and garage.
