Good breakfast, spacious rooms. Parking garage had lots of EV charging points.

The hotel was so crowded the breakfast buffet was uncomfortable.

Great hotel. The only thing is that we had to switch rooms (to the opposite side) and we forgot 2 clippers (to trim a beard) in the bathroom. Nobody reminded us, not housekeeping, not the front office. We found out at home…

While the hotel is in a beautiful location and it’s a very interesting hotel, we were very disappointed to find out after we arrived that the entire staff was on strike and had been on strike for weeks. It was never mentioned in the booking and it certainly impeded on our visit. No room cleaning, the hotel restaurant only served 2 items on the dinner menu; hamburgers and a fish dish. The bar was out of vodka and the bartender said he was sorry but they weren’t getting any more for a few days (after our departure). The one breakfast we had was served on paper plates and service of course was lacking. Again, the location was terrific, but I felt like I was taken because the rate was still the same, but literally no service. I would stay at an another location in the future. The management really didn’t make any apologies for the shortcomings while charging full price.

The hotel is "magical" as I was told by my relatives. The view of Oslo is spectacular. That being said, the view is due to being on the top of a steep hill. Paid parking is underground with elevator access. Free parking is down the hill with quite the hike up. Just make sure you are in good physical condition if you don't want to pay for parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The breakfast buffet was amazing!!! It's worth the extra cost.

General hotel and restaurant strike with limited services

Lovely idyllic location with sensational views of the city. Breakfast and lunch buffets were both excellent and service throughout the hotel was very friendly and attentive. The woman that checked us in and sorted a small hiccup with our rooms was especially welcoming and helpful. Spa and gym facillites were very relaxing and available at a good price. Only wish that we were able to spend a longer time here.
