“Unbelievable experience!! Loved everything about this castle… if you want to stay in a 750+ year old castle with unbelievable staff, stay here! Restaurant was great, food amazing…
Ano (not sure if I spelled it right) and his wife (and staff) were unbelievably accommodating. Highly recommend staying here! Definitely worth the trip and money… can’t wait to come back!”

“The building is absolutely amazing, check in is 1600hrs sharp, there is no one available prior to that. Dinner was amazing and breakfast was decent. The grounds were in need of cleaning up (excessive weeds), but overall would go back again.

“This is truly a hidden jewel in the Kassel mountain area. Extraordinary historic sight, with a splendid view of the valleys surrounding the Schloss Spangenberg. And you live in the middle of it!
The restaurant offers a wide variety of food and wines, and our dinner was just amazing. Our room was very nice, spacious with an excellent and comfartable bed.
Very professional, friendly and service minded staff and management.
We will definitly return to Schloss Spangenberg the next time we pass through the Kassel area.
Highly recommended!

“Property for a novelty stay was excellent.
The room and beds were comfy and the views stunning.
Getting to the front of the hotel was tricky and not clearly described.
I parked down the hill as no parks at the entrance. This made getting suitcases up there was problematic
There are spiral staircases to the rooms so for elderly could be quite an effort.
Breakfast by 10 had run out of a lot of things …. So a mixed stay
Would stay again with knowledge but a bit disappointing from expectation

“This place is excellent! If you've ever wanted to feel as if you're a prince or princess from your youthful dreams come here. Clean modern rooms and a nice restaurant with modern fare. Excellent internet. Take a walk around the castle and relax!”
