Secluded Mountain Home - 2 Master Suites, a 3rd bedroom and 3 full baths  |  House in Elk Meadows

This lovely home is snugly tucked into the very top edge of a 9,000ft. ridge, boasting spectacular 180 degree views over the Cimarron and the Sneffels ranges. The house is secluded at the very end of the road with it’s own cul de sac, hence no traffic other than that which is intended for this address.
This home features two master suites and a third bedroom with a queen size bed and a full bathroom across the hall. In the downstairs master is a fold out futon.
The main area upstairs incorporates large open plan living area with gas fireplace, dining area and spacious kitchen, and cathedral ceiling. The full length windows look out onto the wraparound deck to maximize the breathtaking views. We've recently added air conditioning upstairs. There is a gas barbecue grill on the upper deck. The fully equipped kitchen with Italian porcelain tile counters, granite sink, fridge with ice-maker, second fridge for drinks, smooth top range, and dishwasher is a cook’s dream. The large island has four stools, while the dining area seats six at the dining table.
Phone, satellite flat screen TV, internet TV and WIFI are available.
The laundry room has front load washer and dryer and Italian porcelain tiled floor. The main area has solid wood floors and Berber carpet in the bedrooms.
Downstairs is a beautiful large walk out basement area with in-floor heat and Berber carpet. This room serves as a second master suite, has a small gas fired stove for ambiance and identical 180 degree views of the valley and mountains. There is a full en suite bathroom downstairs. A smart TV and the futon make for a second entertainment area separate from the upstairs living room.
There are two inflatable mattresses, both queen size, if needed.
Roads are open all year and there is much to offer for recreation in every season (although we highly recommend 4 WD during snow season). Whether you are looking for a relaxing break from the world with a glass of wine on the deck or a good book by the fire, enjoying stunning sunsets or high energy sports in the mountains, this is where you want to be! The fabulous Telluride ski resort is less than an hours drive for snow sports in winter and hiking and biking and jeeping during other seasons. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing are just out the front door.
The famous Swiss- like town of Ouray is only 30 minutes drive, offering unique stores, restaurants and trail-heads for hiking, biking and ATV’s.
The National Forest is only minutes away.
The little town of Ridgway is 8 miles down the mountain, offering quaint stores, antiques and a variety of restaurants, including first rate Thai food and the award winning Colorado Boy Brewery with their fabulous pizzas, Eatery 66 and Greenwoods. Bicycle rental and fishing excursions are available in the town.
Please, no motor homes or long trailers as the house is at the end of the road and room for turnaround is very limited. These can be parked off-site. Contact us for details. ATVs, OHVs and snow mobiles are not allowed on the roads within the development.
Getting Here...If you are flying, Montrose airport is just 1 hr away, Grand Junction is 2 hrs and Denver is 6.5-7 hrs. Need a car...we offer for rent a beautiful 4dr Jeep Rubicon, loaded with a "One Touch" convertible top. The perfect way to tour around this amazing area.
