“The hotel was nothing short of beautiful. The receptionist was very accomidating, nice and helpfull. We had a delicious dinner at the hotel resturant, and on top of the tasty dinner with unique dishes of the area, staying at the hotel will earn you a 10 percent discount at the resturant. The river right next to the hotel was a great and fun place to hangout with family and their was a very easy access to it through the hotel. Would definently recomend a stay here.”

“So much was excellent. The value for money is spot on and even though the restaurant is pricey for Portugal, it's still very good value.
Breakfast was far more than we'd expected, especially after some poor offerings elsewhere. Fresh cake, cereal, meat, cheese, scrambled eggs, tea, coffee, yoghurt, fruit, juice, etc.
Only suggestion to Sever would be to tidy it up a bit in places - outside litter pick, replace odd bits of tatty furniture (our bed frame and one shelf), strengthen the WiFi signal.
Small quibbles for what is a fantastic location on the river, fabulous view of Marvão castle from the breakfast room. Lots of National walks, several of which go past the front door.
For the price we paid Sever was a superb bargain.”

“I loved taking a stroll in the shade by the river (and a swim) and sitting on my balcony drinking coffee in the morning and looking across the river and up at the castle and white storks' nest. The restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced. For those who like to walk there is an ancient calzads through a cork oak forest to the castle.”
