The hotel is in a good location however the driveway to the front courtyard is too steep for a vehicle to pass over, is unpaved and crosses directly in front of an open drain. The complex was thoughtfully designed in local vernacular architecture which reflects well the stunning location. However the buildings and gardens are not maintained as well as one would expect at this price point. The staff were all quite friendly and helpful.

Beautiful property. Great service. Friendly staff. The food and drink prices are higher in this area of the island. The free breakfast was amazing.

Really happy with our choice! The whole area was very beautiful, filled with palmtrees and colorful flowers. Breakfast was always really good, while the lunch and dinner could vary a bit, but mostly good - and a whole lot better than all the other food we had in Tanzania. The employees were friendly and helpful. We fully recommend the Mnemba tour - go early in the morning (!) and the extra money is well spent as it ensures you get the away from other tourists. The resort has a great view for sunrise, but you have to go to ex. Nungwi or Kendwa for the sunset, which we did!

Great location, very peaceful. The staff gave us an amazing welcome, very friendly & accommodating. The food was to a very high standard however slightly inconsistent, some items where different night to night, woul highly recommend.

We really wanted to write a positive review about this hotel as we stayed here for the end of our honeymoon. The majority of our experience would not justify that. Positives -The hotel grounds look beautiful. -The restaurant is great and the staff are wonderful. This really was the saving grace of our time here. I have an allergy to gluten and garlic, and the restaurant and kitchen staff took amazing care during our stay. -The kitchen was exceptionally clean every time we walked past. -Kissa reception, Salum, John, Masoud, Rashid were exceptionally helpful. This Negatives -Our Garden Bungalow backed onto the village. This meant we were woken up by cockerels, cows and people shouting from at least 5am every morning. Some mornings, 4am. This carried on throughout the day until 9-10pm at night. Our sleep was terrible whilst we were there and left our honeymoon feeling exhausted. -We asked to be moved to a new room 3 times. The staff on reception simply told us this would not possible even though we saw people checking in and out most days. -We asked for a solution to the problem. The man on reception said he would pass it on to management. We said we were looking forward to hearing from them. We heard nothing. -In the room the towels were tatty, the mosquito nets had holes in and sink did not drain properly even after we requested it to be fixed by maintenance. The bungalow overall was very tired. -We had mice trying to visit our room. See pictures below.
