Location to all the shrines and temples. Lovely walk along the river. Mark and his wife were wonderful hosts who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The accomodation has a rustic elegance with all modern facilities. The home cooked meals were amazing.

Remarkable staff, perfect location with view of Shinkyo Bridge on one side and the river and trees on another. Excellent, tasty breakfast and friendly and helpful staff! Room decor was beautiful and the bathroom modern. If we visit Nikko again I would first look to book this hotel!

We loved our stay at this stylish little guesthouse in its beautiful riverside location, which was also super-convenient. Hosts were exceptionally warm and helpful and really gave everything the personal touch

The location was great, it was so cool being on the riverside and being so close to the bus stop and train station. The breakfast food was so good and Mark was incredibly hospitable and kind. He helped us decide what to do for the day and gave great recommendations. Was very accommodating to our travels and felt so homey and comfortable.
Summary: It was lovely and if we are ever back in Nikko would absolutely stay again

Perfectly located just a 10-minute drive from Nikko Station and right next to the iconic Shinkyo Bridge, this hotel offers both convenience and charm. Mr. Mark and his wife were incredibly hospitable throughout my stay—they truly made me feel at home with their warm and welcoming nature. The service, comfort, and overall experience were exceptional. Highly recommended!

It was a lovely stay with very friendly inn keepers, a good breakfast and a very spacious (for Japanese standards) and comfortable room with bath. Highly recommended.
