“Clean rooms, old hotel, no elevators had to carry luggage up a large flight of stairs to the 2nd story”

“This is a motel from my memories of traveling across the U.S. in the 90s with my family. The staff was great at check in and super helpful throughout my stay. My electronic key had some trouble and the front office gentleman saw and came to my rescue. The room was ok. It did have the smell of old smoke, which wasn’t so overwhelming that I could stay in the room, without my environmental allergies kicking my butt. I did find an old cigar on top of the shower door and once I threw that away the smell did decrease. The cleanliness was ok. Few pet paw stains on the sheets, floor could use a could vacuum, and the remote was sticky. The bathtub/shower, towels and sink were clean. Overall, if I needed to stay here again, I would. This would not be my first choice.”

“It is an old hotel in need of repairs and remodeling but it was adequate and low priced! The only issue I had was noisy people pounding on doors outside my room at night. Also I could only get 1 channel on the TV.”

“I am a bit biased because Ive been a guest of this motel off and on for 30+ years, with all my own ups and downs its still a memorable place to me, even though its been many years since the passing of my first husband, its the memory of our first night we met and stayed over with a couple of our friends...I was 18 and he was 20, we loved our time together so much that it kept us coming back...Even though he is gone he will always be ever present in my heart because of the two gifts being our 2 boys, Emilio 31 and Arnesto 29, I feel blessed with the memories Ive kept alive with me so that moving on was possible, Not alot has remained the same , different owners, new staff, remodels,...Smokey Pt Motor Inn has its own character changing with the times along with the neighboring businesses...I cant say what is in store for the little motel that could because I just know it would surprise me with where it goes hopefully up in the hearts and minds of those whose purposes need to realize you don't have to remember who I was or know what has gone on since my first stay, just know that humanity amongst even strangers matters more than what you think of my life with what you know of me is still not much, customer relations is paramount for every business venture, being a human being isnt about its own costs of life we survive from, its about letting us love ourselves in the best of our moments so that hope can live on in every area that let us create it even 30+ years ago”

“When we turned on the wall heater the face plate/vent fell onto the floor. That revealed a Black air filter that needed changing a year ago. ”

“The management was great even hooked me up with a single bed room of. Room was cleaner than you expect from a random middle of nowhere motel. But good service. Wasn’t loud at night. And if you need a basic place in Arlington. Best bang for your buck. And closest to the highway. Legitimately. Take a right turn and 100ft your on I5. Would recommend if you ain't boujie. ”

“They say pet friendly, but really they are not , esp when it comes to cats. I know that when we booked my cats had zero pests, and are very well behaved and well trained. But when we left we had fleas !!! Now my cats have been treated very well for fleas , and havent had fleas in over a year. They definitely got them from the room we stayed in , under the bed was absolutely disgusting, lots of garbage ect. Its too bad because even 5 months ago this place was mych nicer and cleaner . I wont be returning but the staff is friendly. ”

“Staff are polite and helpful. The hotel is in a VERY sketchy neighborhood and appears to be a long term rental for people on public assistance. Lots people of coming and going, people wandering around outside our room at all hours, cats in the window, etc. My husband was nervous about leaving his truck there while he slept. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and I wouldn't stay here again. ”

“TV had no signal, but I got in late and didn't really need it anyway.”
