Summary: We were not given the room we booked and were instead placed in a lower-level/basement room. Beginning around 4:00 a.m., the room was extremely noisy due to staff activity above and around us.
Before checkout the next morning, we spoke with the front desk in an effort to resolve the issue. We were told to return at 3:00 p.m. to speak with a manager. Because we had no clarity on whether the situation would be resolved that evening, we booked another hotel nearby.
The manager did not contact us until 4:00 p.m., at which point we were offered the room we had originally booked. By then, however, we had already moved to another hotel down the street and declined the offer. When we requested a refund for the nights we ultimately did not stay, the manager did not respond. Hotels.com also contacted her and she didn’t respond to them either.

Summary: I cannot understand the high ratings for this hotel.
1. When we arrived a light fixture near the bed was hanging off the wall with exposed wires. I reported it immediately and was told it would be fixed but it was never addressed.
2. Our family room for five people had two towels available.
3. The bathroom sink had tons of black mold in the bottom of the basin.
4. My mom’s room had black mold all over the bathroom ceiling.
5. One morning there was no hot water to shower. I was told unapologetically that the hotel had run out of gas for the hot water heater like it was an understandable issue.
6. There was no room servicing for the 3 nights we were there. Not even the tiny trash can for toilet paper was emptied (3 days x5 people made this problematic).

Summary: Very close to the fort and the rail station. Staff is extremely friendly. we store the luggage there before going to Machu Pichu.

Summary: Excellent location to restaurants, shops and the train station. Comfortable beds. Only thing that let it down was you can hear so much noise from other people. But other than that very good. And I would stay there again.

Summary: It is a very basic hotel, staff were friendly and central location. On my 2nd night stay Toilet flush was not working but it was fine as we were checking out. Staff were accommodating.

Summary: We stayed at this property on our way to and from Machu Picchu, and it was an excellent choice. The hotel offers stunning views of the Ollantaytambo ruins, making the stay even more memorable.
The location is one of the best in Ollantaytambo, with plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. Taxis and tuk-tuks are readily available, and the train station is just a 7-minute walk away or a quick tuk-tuk ride.
The staff were warm and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was generous, and they even packed breakfast for us because we had an early train to catch, which was a thoughtful touch.
Overall, this hotel offers outstanding value for money and is a great base for anyone visiting Machu Picchu.
