“Great location which is the primary reason we chose this hotel. Very old hotel so minimum amenities - no elevator, no microwave or refrigerator which would have helped us. Friendly and helpful staff. Had to pay cash since hotel does not accept cr card. Overall happy with the place and will stay again!”

“This is a special place, a piece of history. The rooms are efficient, everything you need is right out the door in this perfect location. Rays Pizza/Bagel Cafe is a classic deli with a fantastic selection of hot and cold food. No frills, lots of lower east side vibe. One of my favorite places.”

“Heart of the village, older building trades convenience (tight spaces, stairs can be challenging!) for charm…very clean, staff efficient and kind. Suited my need for solid night sleep (firm mattress, quiet building) and “home base” for my active days.”

“Staying was an experience. An interesting and generally nice experience. Like entering NY of the 70s. The hotel is nicely placed in the Village area. The stuff were professional and helpful. Some days the street noise was too much (having an ice-cream truck just outside your window as 2am is tough..), but we wouldn't change a thing. It a whole different experience from staying in one of the times sq. modern and impersonal hotels.”

“Ok size room for Manhattan and very basic. Aircondition was extremely loud which wasn't very enjoyable during the night. We stayed on the 1st floor and stairs can be a little narrow (there's no elevator which we knew). Wonderful location close to the subway. Ray's Pizza & Bagel Cafe on the corner is recommendable for breakfast or other meals.”

“The hotel is in a very central location on a safe street, and the staff are extremely attentive and helpful. The rooms were cleaned daily. We stayed for 9 days and experienced no issues at all. The only downside is the lack of an elevator. Also, it gets a bit noisy outside at night—especially on Friday and Saturday nights—but we were so tired that it didn't bother us much. The metro station is just a 2–3 minute walk away. I would definitely stay here again!”
