A great stay. Amenities, breakfast, staff, all great. However they could do with preparing better for hot spells. The rooms aren’t air conditioned and the fan really didn’t cut the mustard. The duvets were far too heavy for a regular summer night, so during a heatwave definitely unusable. Please consider lightweight duvets for summer months

Lovely breakfast, evening meals freshly cooked although limited menu. Pool/spa area very nice. Outdoor pool such a bonus with this heatwave!! King room,no2, ground floor clean comfortable with good tea/coffee etc, plus fresh milk and waters.

Very overpriced. Room had no WiFi signal. No air conditioning. Breakfast was awful. Dried out from sitting under heat lamp. No baked beans?! No outside area to sit and enjoy a drink except down by the pool but pool bar closed so had to walk back up to hotel to get a drink. Furniture in bar area looked nice old and in need of replacing. Hotel in general looked like it needed some money spent on it. Looked tired and old. All in all not a good experience for £222 a night!

Very relaxed and stylish hotel. Staff are great, really friendly and helpful

Fantastic hotel in a lovely spot and not far from Padstow or Port Isaac etc.. The rooms were clean and well equipped with comfy (if slightly soft) beds, a Dyson fan if required and even Sky TV! Staff were very helpful and efficient. The gym was very well equipped despite being small and the spa facilities were excellent. I had a Cowshed Spa treatment which was very thorough and relaxing. Breakfast was also well catered for (even a Gluten free section), couldn’t fault the selection. Our only feedback we had was that the Tennis Court is in need of some attention. The surface is deteriorating and you can’t rely on a consistent bounce! We also felt that the ‘no kids’ times should be reviewed as we had to wait till 6pm before ‘Adults only’ time by which point you’re probably heading off to get ready for dinner. Other than that, we had a very enjoyable stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

The staff was incredibly helpful, courteous and friendly. The rooms and restaurant and surroundings very good. The pool, however, was very chilly. Since this hotel is considered a resort, spending time in the pool is part of the enjoyment. You definitely had to keep moving when in the pool to keep warm.

It was great to have a pool and steam rooms. All very clean, however it wasn’t clear that they were open to non residents at certain times so when we wanted a swim the pool was full of children. Staff very friendly and helpful and food in restaurant was excellent.
