Positive: Spacious comfortable ground floor apartment in a lovely old half-timbered building just a few steps from the centre of Turckheim.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
There was a separate secure place for our e-bikes where we could re-charge them - and Turckheim was a great base for exploring the Alsace by bike.
The thick walls of the old building meant it was cool inside in spite of the very high temperatures outside.
The outside space was very quiet and quite shady - and we enjoyed sitting outside for breakfast before it got too hot.
The shower was a little awkward to use - but it wouldn’t stop us staying there again.

The location was perfect for our bike tour. It was nice to be able to sit in a garden in the old part of town and to think that the house is over 400 years old and yet modified for all our comforts! We enjoyed our stay … thank you 🙏

This was a well equipped and comfortable accommodation. It was apparent that the owners had given a lot of thought to the decoration and ambience of the property, for example the coordination of the fittings. There was a theme running through the decor; heart motifs everywhere. It was very tastefully done. We also noticed the lace curtain at the window had garden birds in the pattern and this was replicated at the ends of the curtain pole. The electrical appliances appeared mostly new, were very clean and easy to use.
Negative:
There was nothing we did not like but the owners might wish to think about providing a set of plastic kitchen utensils to protect the non-stick pans, including the frying pan.
